But there is: ArenaNet. They do monitor the economy, and do adjust droprates and add sinks to keep the inflation at bay. Problem is, drastic changes would be as impopular in GuildWars as they are in reality, with the difference people usually don't quit reality when they get ticked off by the fed...

nope. my sister is an econ major going into banking. she said something on the line of "bank of america helping fix america's economy". or some bank. but it wasn't the FED.
